Flows
Fire & Forget™Options-flow research for US equities. Flows reads what the options market did, writes down what it found, and shows how old each figure is and how it was measured.
The walkthrough
What it does
- Home. The session on one screen: the tide, the leaders on each side, what the vendor flagged, what changed and who reports next.
- Boards. The names whose option flow leans bullish or bearish for the session, and the names that nearly qualified (the Watchlist).
- Market. The session tide, breadth, sectors, index ETFs, expiries and volatility, with the market-wide feeds.
- Moves. Every name's move today against its own typical day and against the day its options implied, with how often a move that size has happened in the last year, and each sector's median move beside the list of names.
- Unusual. The option windows the vendor flagged, drawn as a flow network from sector through the side of the quote and name to lean, and the contracts trading far above their open interest.
- Flow Lab. The contracts behind a name's flow: a screener ranked by the site's own ratios, strike and Greek flow, price ladders, routing, lit prints and group flow, each with its unit or a dash and the reason.
- Ledger. The flagged option premium booked as a closed ledger: takers on one side, liquidity providers on the other, so every row and column sums to zero. It sets each sector's share against its market-cap share, with the bounds it can prove.
- Events. Earnings, economic prints and FDA dates for the coming sessions, with the move each report is priced for.
- Political. Stocks that members of Congress disclosed buying or selling, in the dollar ranges the filings give, with how late each filing arrives.
- Ticker. One name's dossier: price against the priced move, the dealer book, volatility, flow and positioning, and a written reading of how they fit together.
- Strategy, Premium desk and Ask. Option structures priced on the name's own smile, and questions answered from what has been published.
Keyboard
- Ctrl K (⌘ K on a Mac) opens the search for a name.
- ? opens Ask, and Esc closes whatever is open.
- Tabs and switches take the arrow keys, Home and End.
What it promises
- Every figure carries its source and its age. A figure that was not measured is shown as withheld, never as zero.
- Written readings are labelled as model wording or as a deterministic template. The model is asked to explain figures it was given; a sentence that adds a figure, a forecast or advice is refused.
- Priced structures are the output of a model, shown with the assumptions behind them. They are not recommendations.
Fire & Forget™
Fire & Forget is the name for the part of Flows that runs without anyone choosing tickers. A nightly run reads the options market for the whole universe, a rotation gives each name a full card within a bounded number of nights, and a live pass keeps the session's prices and alerts current.
It promises that the work is scheduled, bounded and checked, and that a name it could not read is shown as withheld with the reason. It does not promise that every name is fresh at every moment, that the vendor is never late, or that any figure is right.
What it is not
- Not investment advice, a recommendation or an offer, and not a broker. It does not know your circumstances.
- Not a forecast. Options can lose their whole value, and a reading of past flow does not say what happens next.
- Not real time unless a page says so. Vendor data can be late, revised or wrong.
